About Dr. Patel

Kunal Patel, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist and varicose vein specialist at NJ Cardiovascular Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). He also holds certification in adult echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, as well as the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) credential from the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA).

Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark through Seton Hall University, followed by a noninvasive fellowship in cardiovascular disease research at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth. He then completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson through New York Medical College.

Known for his friendly demeanor and personalized care, Dr. Patel treats each patient like a member of his own family. He believes in the power of prevention and works closely with his patients to improve their heart health and prevent more serious complications.

His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
